Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is run by Mario Castellanos (“L.A.S.A.”, “the league”, “we”), the Latin American Softball Association, a non-profit softball league based at 6125 SW 133rd Ave, Miami, FL 33183. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact Us form: your full name, phone number, email address and the message you write.
• Waiting List: the details the league records for people who ask to join a team (such as name, birthday, playing category and notes). The public Waiting List page shows only the name, category, position and notes; contact details are never shown publicly.
• League results: player names, statistics and team assignments are published as part of normal league play, and birthdays (month and day) appear in the weekly birthday list.

Why we collect it and how long we keep it

• Contact Us messages are used only to answer your request. We keep them for up to 24 months, then delete them.
• Waiting List information is used to organize player placement. We keep it until you are placed, ask to be removed, or one day after your last contact.
• Game and statistics records are kept permanently, because they are the league's history.

We do not sell your data

L.A.S.A. does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and does not use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses only the technical cookies and similar storage that the Blazor web framework needs for the site to work (for example, keeping your page connection and form protection active). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics. Links to other services, such as a map of a field, open in their own tab under that service's own policy.

Children's privacy

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the Contact Us form. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third parties

We share information only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed:

• Email delivery: Mochahost.com delivers the messages you send through Contact Us, and the confirmation copy sent to you.
• Hosting: Mochahost.com hosts the website and its database.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Access, changes and deletion

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to info@lasamiami.com or use the Contact Us form, and we will respond within 5 days. Published game statistics are part of the league's historical record, so we may keep those while removing contact details.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no website or database can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above.
